I provide on-the-ground field research and visual reporting in humanitarian and conflict-affected contexts. This includes background research, access negotiation, and situational assessment prior to deployment; gathering verified visual and contextual information in the field; and producing accurate, ethically framed photography to support editorial and humanitarian reporting.
My work involves operating in complex environments, coordinating with local contacts and organisations, navigating security considerations, and ensuring informed consent and subject safeguarding. I deliver well-captioned, context-rich imagery designed for editorial use, advocacy, and long-form documentation, with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and respect for the people represented.
I take on long‑term documentary and field assignments that explore complex issues with depth and care - focusing on people, systems, and the spaces where they meet. With more than eight years of professional experience and over 80 published articles in leading outlets, I approach every project as an ongoing collaboration between subject, journalist, and audience.
My work draws equally from photojournalism, written reporting, and research to create multi‑layered narratives that reveal the social, political, and emotional dimensions of lived experience.
What I Offer
Documentary Field Projects - Multi‑month coverage designed for editorial series, NGO campaigns, and documentary productions.
Investigative Photo Essays - Long‑form visual narratives supported by interviews, data, and contextual reporting.
Collaborative Partnerships - Joint projects with local journalists, fixers, and organizations to ensure accurate and inclusive coverage.
Ethical Story Development - Consultation on narrative design, participant care, and production logistics in sensitive environments.
Working Approach
I embed within communities and contexts for as long as storytelling demands, often living within favelas or migrant camps - building relationships that foster authenticity and understanding. My fieldwork process emphasizes consent, transparency, and accountability, supported by careful pre‑production planning and editorial collaboration. Each project is structured to produce outcomes that are both journalistically rigorous and publicly resonant.
